A total of $19,890.50 was awarded 8 agencies for 12 projects in our local community.

Creating Healthy Lives for their Creating Healthy Youth project; DART for their Autism Summer Camp, and Preschool Computer Center; Friends of the Ridgecrest Library for their Wireless Internet Service; IWV Concert Association for Student Education; IWV Humane Society for their Spay/Neuter Program; IWV Senior Services for Adult Day Care, and Elderly Home Care; Pregnancy Care Center to Upgrade/Update their Brochure; Rose Varga Discretionary Fund for Medical Emergency Fund; Women’s Center – High Desert for Child Abuse Prevention Information and Referral Helpline, and Sexual Assault Response Team.

United we will make the desert blossom

07-14-2010 11:48AM Kari Boisvert

Welcome to United Way of Indian Wells Valley. Our office is located on 206 Balsam St., Ridgecrest, California. I have been the Executive Director since January 2010, but in spite of the short term I have served, I have learned to love the work that United Way and it’s member agencies do.

I believe in this community, from the ”lowest” on the totempole to the ”high-and-mighty”  leader. We all have hearts, and this is the time to reach for your wallet through your heart. We will make sure that the agencies we have on our list will benefit from your money, in more ways than one, so let’s get togeter. Now is the time to make the desert blossom with love and charitability.
